Description: Seawall condition survey using a concrete scanner for proposed seawall extension design
work carried out
Municon conducted multiple GPR grid scans of the existing seawall to determine thickness and rebar spacing in two directions. The GPR scan utilized a high frequency (1000 MHz) electromagnetic transmitter ideal for determining features at shallow depths.
The results were used in the structural design of the seawall extension, as part of a new residential development.
